Farmington Jeweler, Garcia and Co., Named Titanium Sponsor of San Juan Open Golf Tournament; Awards Rolex Watch to Winner

Garcia & Co. Jewelers recently named as a Titanium level sponsor for New Mexico's richest professional golf tournament; owner Mark Garcia presents Rolex watch to tournament champion.

Farmington, NM June 27, 2010- Longtime participant and sponsor of the San Juan Open Golf Tournament, Mark Garcia of Farmington, NM based Garcia & Co. Jewelers has upped their sponsorship level this year to the Titanium level; allowing for on-stage award presentation and further alignment between his company, Rolex and the tournament.
 
As part of their sponsorship duties, Garcia & Co. Jewelers awarded tournament Champion, Clay Ogden a Rolex Sub-Mariner timepiece valued at $7500.00 for shooting a combined 22 under par this past Sunday.
 
Although tournament participants are grateful for the cash award of the tournament, they make no secrets about their desire to be awarded such a prestigious watch. Garcia explains, "The slogan of Rolex is ‘A Crown for Every Achievement' and when I talk to the professionals who come to Farmington, they say they are playing as much for that watch as they are for the prize money."

Although Garcia may not reach the big stage for his tournament play, his commitment to the San Juan Open positions him as a champion to the golf community.
